Dr Chander Kantta:

He is a fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. Prior to coming to Woodberry he worked as a GP at Rutherford Family Medical Practice in Rutherford. Previously he worked as a registrar in adult medicine in John Hunter Hospital for 3 years with rotations in various departments including Cardiology, Gastroenterology, Nephrology, Oncology, General medicine, Geriatrics, Infectious disease and Respiratory medicine. He also has an experience of working as a registrar in Emergency Medicine for 1 year in Armidale in NSW. He is very professional and compassionate about his work. Apart from work he enjoys swimming, cycling and spending time with his family. He has special interest in Adult medicine with patients with complex medical conditions.

Dr Ruchika Verma:

She is a fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. Prior to coming to Woodberry she worked as a GP at Rutherford Family Medical Practice in Rutherford for 5 years. Previously she worked as a registrar in adult medicine in John Hunter Hospital for about 1 year. Dr Ruchika has special interest in looking after the children as she has done Diploma in Child Health (DCH) from Sydney Children Hospital Network. She also enjoys woman health and family planning including Implanon and Mirena insertion. Apart from work, she is a busy mum of 2 beautiful kids and likes traveling.

Jessica Short and Courtney Robertson (Practice Nurses):

We have practice nurses Jessica Short and Courtney Robertson. They assist the doctors with immunisation, making chronic disease management plans, health assessments, Aboriginal health check and closing the gap registration, ECG’s, Spirometry.

Medical Receptionists:

We have 3 lovely and friendly receptionist Laura Nosworthy, Cassandra Farbman and Sarah Arandale. They understand the importance of quality service especially when you are unwell and aim to make your visit to the practice a positive and stressfree experience.
